SHOP-RITE SUPERMARKET
JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY

Palma Inc. formulated and applied its PalmaLite Palikrom 185 (3/16”) and Unikrom 250 (1/4”) floors in critical food preparation areas throughout the store, including the deli, meat preparation rooms, bakery, dairy coolers, and fish preparation room.

Refrigerated areas adjacent to the store’s receiving docks also have Palikrom seamless epoxy floor and curbing.  Palma is responsible for the quality control and management of every job from start to finish.  Palma flooring systems will not support fungal or bacterial growth.
ANIMAL FACILITIES

ANIMAL INFIRMARY OF HOBOKEN
HOBOKEN, NEW JERSEY

PalmaLite’s Palikrom 125 (1/8”) covers all flooring areas of this new veterinary hospital, including entry, waiting room reception station, kennels, operating and treatment rooms. Palma Inc. created a custom color to match the imported terra cotta tile selected for the walls in the entry area. Millions of square feet of epoxy flooring and integral cove base have been applied using Palma’s proven systems and techniques for formulation and application.  Palma systems will retain their appearance over many years of service.
INSTITUTIONS

ESSEX COUNTY WOMEN’S PRISON
CALDWELL, NEW JERSEY

The durability and ease of maintenance of Palikrom 125 (1/8”) made it the floor covering specified for this entire 42,000 square foot modular prison facility – cells, laundry, day rooms, dining room, conference rooms, and corridors Palma Inc. applied its high performance seamless epoxy floor at two sites.  The first application was at the plant where the buildings were fabricated. After the structures were shipped and put in place, Palma technicians completed the second phase at the jobsite. This Palma-directed two step process saved time and reduced construction cost.
LABORATORIES

COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY RESEARCH LABORATORY
NEW YORK, NEW YORK

Palma’s Palikrom185 (3/16”) was the floor selected for the chemistry laboratory, part of a $50 million renovation to the university’s Center for Chemical Research. The Center occupies a century-old structure designed by Charles McKim of the architectural firm of McKim, Mead & White.  Palma recommended its Palikrom 185 to overcome the deficiencies of the original concrete floor.  Palikrom provides and impermeable surface that resists damage caused by most chemicals and other toxic materials.
ATHLETIC FACILITIES

ESSEX COUNTY COUNTRY CLUB
WEST ORANGE, NEW JERSEY

PalmaLite Palikrom 185 (3/16”) floor was applied over existing ceramic tile in the club’s shower and toilet areas.  Palikrom’s long-wearing surface is slip-resistant and withstands the hard use from golf spikes. Palikrom and other Palma flooring systems will not support fungal or bacterial growth. Palma epoxy floors are waterproof.  They never require a membrane lining, a significant cost saving.
